The Hero of Ages is the conclusion to the Mistborn trilogy, and it is a truly apocalyptic novel. Tricked into releasing the evil spirit Ruin while attempting to close the Well of Ascension, new emperor Elend Venture and his wife, the assassin Vin, are now hard-pressed to save the world. His original books, not the latest Wheel of Time installments (I've never gotten into that series). The world is It is a book of revelations and ancient secrets resurfacing through Ruin's lies and the Lord Ruler's misdirections. I have a hard time describing these books; think post-apocalyptic magical steampunk X-men, and you might get close. This game is set during the time of the original trilogy (The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages), and doesn't cover the most recent novel, The Alloy of Law, which is set several hundred years after the original novels. She's on the cover of all three books, and she wasn't the Hero of Ages? Most recently, I devoured the Mistborn trilogy (Mistborn, The Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages) by Brandon Sanderson.
